Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated November 1, 2026

Epifany is a private tool. You're responsible for owning or having permission to use your footage, and for using it lawfully.

1. A private tool

Epifany is a private tool for enhancing your own footage. It is not a public video-sharing or community platform: there is no public feed, and other customers cannot see your uploads or results. We do not routinely watch, judge or curate what you upload.

Because the Service is private, this policy focuses on your responsibilities as the person who uploads and uses the footage.

2. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for the material you upload and for how you use the results. Before you upload, make sure that:

  • you own the footage, or have the rights, licences and permissions needed to upload it, have it processed, and use the results;
  • you have any consent required from people who appear in it, and your use respects their privacy and publicity rights; and
  • your upload and your use of the results are lawful where you are and wherever you use or publish them.

3. What you must not do

Privacy does not permit illegal activity or abuse of the Service. You must not use Epifany to:

  • upload, process or create content that is illegal, including child sexual abuse material, or intimate images of a person shared or created without their consent;
  • infringe copyright, trademarks or other intellectual-property rights;
  • violate anyone's privacy, publicity or other rights, or harass, threaten or defraud anyone;
  • create material intended to deceive people about real events or real people in a way that is unlawful or causes harm;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, other accounts or our providers' systems, or interfere with or overload the Service;
  • reverse-engineer, scrape or resell the Service, or access it by automated means, except as we expressly allow; or
  • use the Service in a way prohibited by the agreements of our service providers, including our payment processor's restricted businesses list.

4. What we may do

We may respond to credible complaints, security problems, legal requirements and restrictions imposed by our service providers. Where reasonably necessary, we may access the relevant files or account information, restrict or remove access to content, suspend features, or suspend or close an account, as described in our Terms of Service. Any such access is limited to what is needed and handled as described in our Privacy Policy. We may report content to the authorities where the law requires it.

5. Reporting a rights complaint

If you believe material processed with Epifany infringes your rights, email support@epifanylabs.com with:

  • your name and contact details;
  • a description of the work or right concerned;
  • information that helps us identify the material or account involved; and
  • a statement that the information in your complaint is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorised to act for them.

Because uploads are private, we may not be able to identify material from a link or description alone. We review each complaint and take the steps described in section 4 where appropriate.
